1. The first step is to make sure that the domain you wish to transfer is unlocked for transfer at your current domain registrar.
2. You should then ensure that the registrant contact shows an email address to which you have access.
3. Once you have placed an order with us, get the EPP Code from your current registrar and open a ticket, letting us know the EPP (Transfer) Code.
4. Keep a lookout for any verification emails you may receive. The transfer should complete within 7 days, if not earlier.
An EPP code is a unique identifier used to authorise the transfer of a domain name between registrars. The current registrar generally provides this code when you initiate a transfer request.
If you do not transfer your domain name before it expires, it may be locked for transfer by the registrar. The registrar may also not give your the EPP code for an expired domain. In this case, you may need to renew it for another year before transferring the domain.
